WDTYO the name Michael? I think it's okay. I don't like the nn Mike. Not much of a fan but I don't hear it a lot. It's a nice sounding name. WDYT? And also, what are some male and female combinations for Michael?

Michael is a great name...for a BOY ONLY. It's atrocious on a girl.

I love the name Michael. It is my Dad's name as well. I don't plan on using it as a first name, because I don't like it *that* much, but hopefully using it in the combo Isaiah Michael-James :)I'm with you on the nn. I'm thinking that might be the reason I do't like it as a first name, because unless he was always called Michael, I wouldn't like it. My Dad always refers to himself as Michael, Mick rarely, and never Mike.Wait. Do you mean your're thinking of using it for a girl? I would never use it for a girl, but I guess it wouldn't be too bad in today's society. 2 combos from the top of my head:
Michael Jayden (James was actually my first choice, but I guess there is a reason for that lol)
Michael Jasmin-Lee (Hmm I like that...)

please don't use for a girl [m]I adore it for a boy only, please don't use on a girl. If you like it on girl use Michaela nn Michael or something.

I really like the name Michael for a boy, and it's a GP for a girl (not something that I'd use for a girl, though). I think, though, that you'll find most people here don't at all like it for a girl, since it is traditionally a boys' name. Michaela and Michelle would be possible alternatives for a girl.Off the top of my head, Michael Spencer comes to mind for a boy, and Michael Jasmine for a girl.
