Sadie
I love the name Sadie, but it kind of sounds like a nickname to me. Does anyone know a more formal name that Sadie could be a nickname for? Thanks for your help.Emily

If you like Sadie. Use Sadie on its own, not as a shortening from another name as then you are guaranteed they will use it. I never get called my full name and would prefer if I had of just been named my nickname in the first place!!!

Cassidy or some such spelling of it
Sada or Sadah
Sadira
IsadelleBut, like everyone has said it is a pet form of Sarah, though I knew a Mercedes (a person and three puppies) who went by the nn Sadie.

I like Sadie, I think it's really cute. I like Sailee too.

As Isla said, Sarah. I think it could also be a nickname for Mercedes and Isadora.

Traditionally it's a nickname for Sarah, but I also know a Mercedes who is called Sadie for short.

The only one I can think of that I really like is Sarah. Sadie is a gp for me, I love combo Sadie Mae, but would never use it. Hmmm... maybe Sarah Margaret. Now I'm just thinking out loud. :)
