WDYTO Mitzi?
The girls name Mitzi keeps on popping up when I'm playing around with Nymbler and it's growing on me. So I was wondering, what do you guys think? It's listed on here as a German pet-form of Maria.

I'm kind of late, but anyway...I like it a lot. Very fun. But unfortunately, it's the name of my cousin's old dog, who's pretty famous on my dad's side of the family because she was just such a great dog. Supposedly I used to call her Fritzi when I was little. =PSo yeah, Mitzi's pretty unusable for me, but I'd certainly love to see it around one day!

My great-uncle had a Pekingese named Mitzi. I actually think it's really cute and for some reason picture it on a perky teenager back in the 50s/60s. But I wouldn't name a child Mitzi myself. You might get away with it as a nickname for something more sophisticated-sounding.

Awful. Sorry. It sounds like a dog breed to me.

I actually have a friend named Mitzi - she's 19, I think. So I can see it on a real person. I rather like it.

I think Mitzi is great! Lots of people think of it as a nn but I think of it as a name on its own. If you are going to use it as a nn though I would use it for Madeleine or Mathilda (even though it is not meant for those names) because Marie is too common.

I find it horribly cutesy and unattractive. Makes me think of a mouse with a bow in its hair or a gum-popping, chain-smoking waitress. It's even worse than Misty for me, and that one's pretty horrible. I realize it's a legit name (Mitzi), I just don't care for it. Can you tell? ;)

I think Mitzi is really cute, but I would only use it as a nickname for Maria, because I can't imagine a 30 year old Mitzi.

It's cute in an I-would-never-use-it kinda way

I think it'd be a cute nn, but definitely not a given fn. But this is coming from someone who really likes the name Fritzi, haha.

Adore Mitzi! It would be very refreshing to see. Plus Maria is nice as well. I also like Mimi but would rather see a Mitzi.

It sounds like a little yappy dog to me.

As a nickname, I think it's fabulous. Very retro and fun.Array

It's a cute nn, but I couldn't take it seriously as a full given name, unless it were on a dog or cat.

I'm picturing a poodle with this name. Too frufy for a human.

I can't picture a modern child or adult with this name. It sounds like a dachshund's name.

I kind of agree. It sounds too cutesy. Like Fifi or Mimi.
