Ariana
OK, so yes I am sad and I saw this name in the Harry Potter book! But I think it is really pretty, what do you think? Do you prefer the spellin Ariana or Arianna?

Exquisite...I personally prefer Arianna, because it is the name of a dear friend, but both are lovely. It's so feminine and classy. Charming.

Arianna...I prefer Arianna. But I don't particularly like it either way. Plus, it reminds me of 'Aryan'.

I would prefer Ariana to Arianna as I prnc them differently (like everyone else that has replied I guess). My favorite way to spell it would be Arijana though.

I really like it, too. I like the Ariana spelling better, but I would pronounce that A-ree-AH-na, whereas I would pronounce Arianna exactly how it's spelt. I like both pronounciations about equally, anyway.

I think in this case, I prefer Arianna.

I love Arianna, pronounced a-ree-an-a. To me, it's a combination of Aria & Anna, two names I love, and they have special meaning to me, so woohoo for Arianna!

Well, seeing as it's a variant of a variant of a variant, and I personally find Ariadne much nicer, my immediate reaction is distaste. However, it really does have a sweet sound to it. I'd still never use it.I prefer Ariana.

I think it's pretty too. I prefer Ariana, but it depends on which prn. you want. I prn. Ariana as Ah-ree-a-na, long a as in car, and I prefer this to Arianna, which I'd prn. Ah-ree-anna- short a like Anna, just stuck on the end :)

I think this will definitely spike in popularity in about ten years when today's teenagers start having lots of kids...Harry Potter has probably turned a lot of people on to it. It certainly could be worse, I don't mind it though I'm not a huge fan. It reminds me of Briana / Brianna. I think either spelling is fine, but I pronounce them differently...I say ah-ree-AH-na for Ariana and er-ee-A-na for Arianna.
