Torsten?
I saw this name in the credits for the crew of a movie I recently watched. A producer or something I think. I thought it kinda had a trendy sound, but I like it anyway. I like Tristan, and thought this might be a good lesser known alternative. I was happy to find the name in the website! So, what do you guys think of Torsten? Too trendy sounding?

I like it very much. I first heard it on actor Thorsten Kaye (from "All My Children"), but it's pronounced the same as Torsten.

For me Torsten is a very scandinavian name, and I would be very surprised to meet someone of a different origin with this name.
Also, in Denmark, it's really an old-fashioned name and doesn't sound trendy at all (most people with that name here would be 40 or older, I guess).
However Thor is very trendy here and I think Thorbjørn is beginning to be as well....

I don't think it sounds trendy at all. One of my fav names is Thorsten "Thor" (with us the TH is pronounced T, so it's pronounced exactly like Torsten), so thumbs up for Torsten :)

It's pretty trendy-sounding, and it's also really unpleasant phonetically. I much prefer Tristan.
