Tess, Iris, Louis, and Joel
My love of Tess has been growing lately. I am having trouble settling on a mn, though. Tess Rosemary, Tess Amabel... they just seem too quaint, you know? Too sweet. And too long, somehow. Tess Sparrow I kind of like, but I'm not sold. Any other ideas? Keep in mind, my tastes run on the eccentric side. I am more likely to smile at Tess Hurricane than Tess Marie (though, for the record, I don't see or like Hurricane as a name). Are Iris and Tess too close for siblings? These are my two top girls names currently.I've been liking Louis lately. WDYT of Louis Jasper? Also, WDYT of Joel? Thanks!

Iris and Tess are both great, I don't think they're too close for sibs. Louis and Joel are nms, Louis Jasper doesn't sound bad though. Tess Avalon has been a fav of mine a long time ago. It's very hard to find a nice mn for Tess I think. other suggestions:
Tess Evelyn
Tess Ariane
Tess Morgaine
Tess Marion
Tess Kerensa
Tess Lovisa
Tess Delilah

Tess - love
Iris - also love and think it's fine with Tess
Louis - I like the pronunciation lou-ee which would be silly in the US. lou-iss I don't really care for.
Joel - love

I think Tess is really cute, I like it a lot. I also love Tessa (actually I prefer Tessa). I think Tess Rainbow, Tess Emerald, Tess Imelda, Tess Elodie, Tess Willow, Tess Janae, Tess Keisha, Tess Lyric and Tess Neriah all sound nice. Are Iris and Tess too close for siblings? Yes, they are too close for sibs imo. WDYT of Louis Jasper? It's fine, as long as you're pronouncing Louis as LEW-ee, not LEW-iss. The "is" on the end of Louis will run into Jasper otherwise. Also, WDYT of Joel? Love it. My younger brother's mn is Joel.

I've been loving Tess, too. At first I worried that it sounded too nicknamey, but now I view it as a little name that packs a lot of punch. One of the reasons I love it so is because of the Katharine Hepburn character in Woman of the Year. Tess Rosemary is beautiful!Tess Aurora

Tess IolantheI do not believe that Tess and Iris are too close for siblings. They complement each other very well.Louis Jasper is a wonderful combo, but it depends on the pronunciation of Louis. I'm in love with 'loo-WEE', but not the pronunciation of Lewis. Jasper is a great middle name for Louis and the combo looks very distinguished.Joel is ok. It's a little too homely for me, and it doesn't fit well with Louis. It's like a clash of styles.

I like Tess as well : )I agree that Tess Rosemary & Tess Amabel are a little too sweet sounding. I do like the sound of a 3-syllable middle name with it though.I don't think that Tess & Iris are too close at all, I like them together.I'm not crazy about Louis, but I do like Jasper. Joel is okay.Tess Arcadia

I love Iris, but for some reason Tess seems too insubstantial to me as a first name on its own. I prefer it as a nn. Louis Jasper is nice, but I prefer Jasper Louis. And I love Joel.

Tess Ardelia
Tess Cleone / Tess Cleona (I'd pronunce Cleone KLEE-uh-nee and Cleona klee-OH-nuh)
Tess Lucida (loo-SEE-dah, and while it's "it/she (I think) lit up" in Spanish, I've seen it used as a rough translation of "shiny" as well)
Tess Winona
Tess Valaida (vuh-LAY-duh)
Tess Indigo
Tess Winifred
Tess Muriel
Tess Veritas
Tess Vincenza
Tess DaphneI don't think Tess and Iris are too close, though they come near that point. Louis is pretty cool, and Louis Jasper's handsome. Joel's all right, though not one I really care for.Array

Tess MagnoliaI love Louis (are you saying lou-ee or lew-is? I prefer lou-ee). Don't like Jasper much, though. It's been getting popular and I don't see the appeal. Sounds nasally and whiney. I don't like Joel, either. It just sounds...ugly to me. Don't know why.
