Julian/Julius
I'm home sick today and thoroughly incapable of sleep, so I'll probably be making a fair amount of posts. Just a fair warning.Anyway, ever since I was really young I've loved the names Julian and Julius. I've seriously considered using them except for one big problem. There is a small fast food chain in a mall near me called Orange Julius, which sells orange juice and other orangey-things. Oddly specific marketing scheme, no? But due to the resteraunt, as soon as I see Julius and Julian I think of oranges! It's killing me! Does anybody alse have this ridiculous connection with Julian/Julius or with any other names?

Funny you should mention Orange Julius. The other day when I posted my question about Julius, I also got a bit of feedback from people at school, and one girl said "Makes me think of Orange Julius." "Orange Julius?" I said, picturing an orange caesar. "Yeah," she said. I was like, well, whatever! Yoar weard!! lolz!1!! because I had absolutely no idea what she was talking about. But yeah I love Julius and Julian too. Julius more. I like the -us names more than their -an variations, generally. But you know. They're both cool. Anyway.

I agree that Julius makes me think of oranges, but Julian does not. I don't like Julius anyway, but I've always like Julian. I don't like the name Hannah because for some reason (I have no idea why) it always makes me think of chicken soup. And I hate chicken soup. Maybe it's not as weird as I think because I've seen comments on this site that say things like, "This name always makes me think of noodles."

Julius does remind me of Orange Julius, but only slightly. Julian does not. I wouldn't hesitate to use either.
