Elise?
What do you think of the name Elise? Do you prefer any other spellings? Is it bland to you?

I Love EliseEspecially as a middle name. I think it flows well with almost any first name- but it's not fillerish like Rose or Marie.I only like the Elise spelling. I don't care for Elyse.

I don't like Elise at all. It sounds really slippery and whiny.

I think that it is quite pretty and it is a little bit plain but I don't really think thats a bad thing.

I quite like it. Elise seems like a normal, not to popular name, that your daughter won't hate you for one day.

i love the name Elise, it's the name of my baby cousin. I prefer Alice which sounds like Elise but IMO sounds prettier.

It's my name :DI used to hate it. Like seriously HATE it. I thought it was so bland and boring (even though I had never met another Elise spelt like me). It has actually been since I came on this site that I have started to love my name- I mean, it could have been a lot worse! IMO it ages well, easily fits on a range of different professions/types of people, is uncommon, has a history, and it is pretty while having some strength.
I work in a call-centre at the moment and I get multiple compliments on my name every day :)

I love it. It was going to be Skye's middle name.

I like it though I dont think I would ever use it. I prefer the German pronoucation to the English and French ones, but all are nice.
Don't really like any other spellings.

Elise has never really been a name that's on my radar, but I have noticed that it's definitely becoming popular again where I live. 1 in 5 little girls in the BA's here seem to have Elise as a middle name.

Really? Ugh. That kind of takes some of the sparkle out of it for me.

Sorry bout that then! lol. But it is a very pretty name, and just cause it's popular here doesn't necessary reflect on where you are... (I'm in New Zealand btw)

You're quite far away!
People in New Zealand have such a nice taste in names. I was reading their Top 100 recently and was so impressed! :]
