Elliot ...
... for a girl. What are your thoughts on this? It's recently intrigued me.

My thoughts are no, it's a masculine name, so leave it for the guys!:)

I love it for either gender but spelled Elliott.

Elliott is a name that irritates me on a boy, on a girl I find it terribly masculine but it still sounds weak to me. Eliot is fine because it could be after TS Eliot though.

I prefer it for a boy, it's way too masculine for a girl.

I think Elliott is horribly unfeminine and trendy on a girl. I really like it for a boy, spelled Elliot.

I wouldn't mind Eliot on a girl but Elliott is for a boy.

I think...Just because Scrubs did it, doesn't mean everyone else should. It belongs on a boy.

I don't like the show Scrubs so its definitely not after that show. But I guess I can say everyone will assume that's where the name came from and that's just irritating.

Thoughts below on the name: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/view.php?id=3126419&board=babyI dislike it for a girl. I know one, she's brilliant, but I'd much rather see it on a boy. There are so many great names for girls that begin with El- that I don't understand the purpose of co-opting Elliot.Array
