It's absolutely wonderful to see Zuleika on someone else's list! Huzzah!
Roxana, Nasrin, Anahit & Lilac are other favorites for girls. I know an Amir, lovely guy. Casper, Cyrus, Darius, Iskander, Kourush, Masud & Nassar are other favorites for boys. I want to like Xerxes, the sound is wonderful but the association bothers me. Now, if only I had the appropriate ethnic background for them....

Here are some sources:http://www.babynamenetwork.com/baby_names/origins/Persian_baby_names.cfm
http://www.babynamescountry.com/origins/persian_baby_names1.htmlGelsey I know is a type of flower in Farsi.
Kira is definitely the feminine form of Cyrus in Persian.
Lilac is definitely a favorite. I am fairly certain its origin is Persian, but like so many Persian inventions, its true derivation is seldom credited in the Western world.
