Minerva
I haven't posted in a while, but I've been thinking about the name Minerva lately and was wondering what you all thought about it. Do you think it'll ever make a comeback? Has it been ruined by Harry Potter? What mns would you pair with it? Harry Potter associations aside, I rather like Minerva, much more than Athena or other goddess-related names.

I like Minerva and I think you could use the nickname Minnie which is really cute. It could make a comeback, because of Harry Potter, but I kind of think it might put people off because Minerva is an old character in the book.I love Godess names, have you looked at any others - I especially like Ariadne, Evadne, Artemisia and Juno

I do not like it. The sound is too harsh and I do not like the "nerve" part. I do not think so because I has been off for awhile and was never that popular.

I can totally see it making a comeback in the next few years.

I don't think anything could be ruined by Harry Potter!I like the name Minerva, but i find the 'nerve' sound milding irritating (but not enought to turn me off it). I think if you like it, use it.Minerva Sofia
Minerva May

I once knew twins called Minerva and Monopoly, which was a bit much, so I've never really considered Minerva on its own, but now that I do I actually find it very pretty. I guess they'd end up called Minnie at school though, and that was the name of my cat when I was younger, so that puts me off a bit.
I'd say for mns you want something simple and less frilly - Minerva Kay, etcS xx
