Opinions on Mechtild?
I only came across this name thismorning. It is the name of an author who wrote a book called 'Bach Flower therapy' It is registered as a user submitted name here as a variant of Mechtilde. Either way I think it is interesting. I think I prefer it spelt with the 'e'but that would have to be pronounced which I don't like the idea of.Leanne Mechtild
Talia Mechtild
Karina Mechtild
Katya Mechtild
Imogen Mechtild
Julia Mechtild (YOO-lia):0)

The name is very old-fashioned to me, and the spelling most often found in my environment is Mechtildis. That name is almost always carried by people over 60 years old - my great-aunt and late great-grandmother are among them. If I were you, I would go for the much younger-looking Mathilde. :)

I like it, but I prefer Machteld.
Julia Mechtild is lovely, though. :)
