I can't stand either (along with Henry, these are my top 3 of least liked (but 'normal') names. If I'm forced to choose anyway, I'd defiantely go with Charles.

Charles of courseI love both but Charles has been my top boys' name for years.

GeorgeFor a couple of reasons. Firstly, I have a couple of great associations with the name George (my cousin George Sven & Causegirl's George Elliot). Secondly, I just plain do not like the sound of Charles. Plus it brings to mind Prince Charles. Oh, and George the Monkey is too cute, and a neat little association for a child called George.

Georgeboth are very handsome and masculine but George is much less common-while still being classic which is great

George latelyalthough George and Charles are two of my very favorite handsome-boy-names. :)I don't really know why I'm saying George except that it would be slightly more refreshing to meet a George than a Charles, I am in a George phase and out of a Charles phase, and today George's "color" to me appeals to me more than Charles's (rich, dark pink/red compared to rich orange).

CharlesGeorge is my dad's name, and has therefore lost it's charm to me.

Charles gets my vote, hands down. It's so classic, handsome, and masculine.George, on the other hand, has never been my style. It just seems rather dated, and I don't care for the sound of it.

I like them bothbut today, George. I could prefer Charles tomorrow, though. I truly enjoy both equally. They're great, classic names.
