Zachariah
I've always liked the name Zachary but I don't want to use it because of it's popularity. I like Zachariah as well, almost more than Zachary. I would probably call him Zac, and since both names are commonly nicknamed Zac/Zack/Zach is trying to avoid the popularity irrelevent then?

No. Nicknames are inevitable with friends and even family. No matter what you name them, there will always be a nickname. However, I agree that Zachariah is the less popular alternative to Zachary. And I like it much better.

I much prefer Zachariah to Zachary, even though I would also probably use nn Zac. It may be slightly irrelevant to avoid the popularity, but not completely, as there are some times when the full name would have to be used. Go for Zachariah!

See now, I really dislike Zachary and Zac/Zack/Zach, but I do like Zachariah. I would only use it as a mn though, since the nn Zach seems unavoidable.
I don't think Zac is overly popular, I wouldn't worry about it.
Actually, Zachariah could go by Riah, that would be my choice.

Riah seems a little too feminine to me, I knew a girl named Rhea (ree-uh) and it reminds me of that.

I really like Zachariah.
I don't like Zachary tho.
You never know - he may like going by his full name!

I prefer Zachary, but Zachariah is a nice alternative to it.
