Anthem?
This came to me a couple days ago and I kind of like it, much better than Lyric or Melody. I like it on a boy but I think you could go either way. Kind of reminds me of Ansel, Anson, and Anthony. WDYT?

The only think I think of when I see or hear Anthem is the sub-division my parents live in cuz it's called Anthem.
I guess most people would not have that association, but it's a pretty popular sub-division where they live though so probably out if you live there too.
I much prefer Lyric and Melody, for girls.
Anthem I would probably assume was a boy, but I don't really like it.

I dislike Lyric and Melody, especially Lyric. I also don't really like Anthem but it's better than Lyric. And you could get some great nicknames out of it like Annie and Themi (I heard this before, the girl's full name was Euthemia or something like that).

It first of all reminded me of Ayn Rand and got my approval on that note. I do think it has a good sound to boot. But once I make the music connection it starts to strike me as being way too cheesy. It's one of those things that sounds decent to me in the abstract but comes with too much realistic baggage.

It seems sort of.. nationalistic to me. Like naming your kid Star Spangled Banner or God Save The Queen or Deutschland Uber Alles or something. I mean I know it's not that extreme, but it just seems so LOOK AT ME I LOVE MY COUNTRY to me.

Anthem does not just apply to the National Anthem. It's a regular word for a song or hym that celebrates something.

I knowBut it's still immediately what I think of when I hear the word.
