Wdyt of Faithlyn (M)
It was created by my friend who likes the name Faith and Lyn
She prononces it Faith-A-lyn which sounds a bit strange, she said when she names her daughter that she will make me a God-mother of the baby..Im in mixed feelings about it I really dont know what to think I like it but Im still unsure lol..Im hoping I will learn to love it incase I do become a God mother of a child with this name.I think It could grow on me lol. wdyt?

I love Faith. But Faithlyn, or Faith-a-lyn, sounds terrible. And very made-up.

It's trashy and ugly. Sorry. And the pron. is weird.

The pronounciation is terribleLetl's hope she grows out of this pronounciation before she gets a daughter. Or that the father of the child stops it.Faithlyn is a bit cutesy (I would prefer Faith Lynn, and calling her by both names) and not my taste. But it is not that bad, provided it is correctly pronounced. With her made-up pronounciation, it should be spelt Faithalyn."You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."

why not just use the first name Faith and the middle name Lynn. That sounds and looks so much better.

I'm one of those mothers who added "lyn" to a virtue name: Grace. I had to have the name Grace and our last name begins with S, so "Gracelyn" made sense. I've always loved Lyn and I don't think it was "trendy" 11 years ago, but it I sure notice it now.So . . on to Faithlyn, for some reason it does not seem to flow nicely to the ears. Faith is another one of the virtue names that I love, but can't use because of my funky last name. I would pair it up with something else that flows better: Faith Anne, Faith Naomi, Faith Victoria, Faith Olivia

I like it, But it would be cuter Faith-Lynn instead of faith-A-lynn :) congrats on godmother!!!

Its not bad, better then some other made up names out there. I would pronounce it FAITH-LYN though. :)

Well, she didn't make it up, I've seen it before. But it looks made up and silly to me (like Gracelyn, another one I've seen lately). But the same goes with most made up names ,imo, esp. ones adding -lyn to the end. However, I wouldn't worry. Her taste will likely change by the time she has a child, and even if you do end up a godmother to a little girl named Faithlyn--hey, it could be worse! And I'm sure you'll grow to love the name because of the little girl. I hate the name Nevaeh, but recently "met" a baby by that name and I think she's absolutely precious! It didn't change my opinion of the name in general, but now I can say I have met a Nevaeh I like. LOL. ~Heather~

To be honest--my first response was to cringe. Not a fan of this one in the slightest.

Personally, I don't like it. It's too cutesy and trendy for my tastes, plus I really don't care for virtue names. I agree that the pronounciation Faith-lyn would be better though. -Amy-

I don't care for it. However, if prn. Faith-lyn, it's better than Faith-A-Lyn...where does the extra syllable come from?"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."
