Birth Announcement!
I just noticed a birth announcement lying around the house from some of our Dutch relatives. Translated, it reads:"Yay! We proudly present our son Loek, born October 8 2008. The proud parents are are Karin & Arno. He joins older brother Mirav."

Loek. Is that a Dutch variant of Loic? If so, I like it very much. I assume it's pronounced, "LO-ek." Is that correct? Or is it more like Luke, "look."

It's the Dutch variant of Loek, pronounced the same as Luke.

Well almost :)It's shorter than Luke, it's LOOK, but said faster than the verb. I love Loek btw, very nice :)
