Ajay
I was watching Hannah Montana with my niece today, and the name Ajay came up - pn AW-jay. I actually quite like it but probably more as a middle name. WDYT?Isidor Ajay
Lazarus Ajay

I prefer prn. Ay-Jay, but I prefer Vijay (vee-jay)and I've always put them in the same category because they're Indian names.

Ajay doesn't do much for me -- makes me think of AJ. BTW, I once knew a girl by the name of Nitaj (pronounced Nitajay). Isn't that odd? She went by Nita.

To Nickname for me

I agree with everyone else that it's not very appealing as a name. Too close to the nickname AJ and it would never get prn. correctly. I think I would like it better prn. Aw-zhe like mirage minus the "mir" plus an "ay/eh" sound at the end. If any of that made sense. I like Lazarus and Isidor, although you weren't asking for opinions on them.

I dislike it.I think it is crappy, but not much better than a similiar name I recently saw on a real child: Aajay.

Terrible.

I must agree.I looks like a non-name. Way, way too trendy and hollow for my tastes.

Actually, Ajay's an established Indian name.

Well, now I feel about two inches tallAjay is a lovely name, then, if it is given as an Indian name. I must admit that my knowledge of established Indian names is a tad rusty :)If it's a phonetic spelling of the initials AJ, however, then I stand by my original critique.

Don't feel too badI would bet a considerable amount of money that 99% of the Ajays outside of India were named because their parents thought it was a cool spelling of AJ.

I also agree.Hollow, trendy, and flat.
