My grandfather!Well, technically his name was Oswaldo, but in English it's Oswald. His nn was Ozzie; he and my grandmother were in their prime just when Ozzie and Harriet was on TV and they thought that was a hoot (though Grandmother's name was Lillian like me). I have three cousins with the mn Oswaldo in his honor.Oswald Ramsay is my only Oswald combo; my others are all Oswaldo with various Spanish or French mn's, if you're interested. Now that you've started this thread, I'll be reviewing it myself, to pick up some more combos. :-)

I like Oswald, nn Oswy.It makes me think of owls(!) and Anglo-Saxon saints.I am bad at combos but Oswald Barnabas and Oswald David spring to mind.
Also Oswald Samuel.

Isn't it funny.......how our perceptions of names can change based on where they are placed in a full name??When I first read Oswald, I didn't like it. I thought, "Perhaps as a middle name, though..." and then started thinking about combos with Oswald in second place. And right away, I realized how awful that would look. So then I gave it another chance in the first name position, and was amazed at how hip it suddenly seemed. As a middle name, Oswald totally looks like the mutant child that the family wants to hide away in the attic - but in the front, it becomes so incredibly edgy and fashionable. So, in conclusion, I like it, lol! I quite agree with Bear's feelings of Gothicesque charm it has. It's so upper-class and has a feeling of old secrets to it. Oswald Rafferty
Oswald Elliot
Oswald Barnabas / Barnaby
Oswald Bartholomew
Oswald Matthias
Oswald Ferdinand
Oswald Zacharias
Oswald Ulysses
Oswald Hector
Oswald Dorian
Oswald Algernon
Oswald Alistair
Oswald Carlisle
Oswald Tobais
Oswald Evander
Oswald Lysander

I know what u mean. Marie in the middle name slot is so overused and dull to the extent its sickening but when you see it in the first name slot it seems so refined and classic

Oswald Sebastian has like a 16th/17th century composer Bach, Mozart feel to it. I like alot.
