Josephina
I've always admired Josephine; however, my introduction to the beautiful, divinely inspired Josefina Scaglione, who portrays Maria in the Broadway revival of West Side Story, acquainted me with Josephina, the Latinate form of Josephine, and I've been in love ever since. What do you think? I'm currently particularly enamored of ornate feminine names -- moreover, I think Josephina is capable of aging exceptionally well and being borne by women of all dispositions. Which of the following combinations appeal to you?Josephina Berthe (BAIRT)
Josephina Bertille
Josephina Beryl
Josephina Betty (Hmmm...)
Josephina Bluebell (I like the dynamic between Josephina and Bluebell.)
Josephina Blythe
Josephina Charlotte
Josephina Clare
Josephina Clemence
Josephina Colombe
Josephina Daisy
Josephina Dolly (I know, I know...I just really enjoy the balance established by the weighty, dignified Josephina and the flighty, blithe Dolly.)
Josephina Ethel
Josephina Gretel
Josephina Hazel
Josephina Helen
Josephina Helene
Josephina Laure
Josephina Laurel
Josephina Lenore
Josephina Lilac
Josephina Lilly (I find the appearance of Josephina Lilly strangely superior to that of Josephina Lily...)
Josephina Lisbet
Josephina Loveday
Josephina Lucrece
Josephina Lydie
Josephina Mabel
Josephina Maple (Hmmm...)
Josephina Maud
Josephina Maude
Josephina Mechteld (Dutch form of Matilda)
Josephina Merle
Josephina Meryl
Josephina Milly
Josephina Muriel
Josephina Myrtle
Josephina Pearl
Josephina Perle (French/Yiddish form of Pearl)
Josephina Plum
Josephina Poppy
Josephina Rachel (Too Biblical?)
Josephina Ruby
Josephina Tilly

I adore Josephina Pearl and Josephina Plum! I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one that thinks Plum would make an interesting mn.
