Ernest
I've just been thinking about this name recently. What are your first impressions? Can you picture it on a child in the US? Would you be pleased to see it used, or would you just find it weird? Which spelling do you like best: Earnest or Ernest? I just want to hear your comments. :)

Like it.The spelling Ernest is best for a name. I'm not sure how it would work in the U.S. I do like it, but the child may be called 'Ernie' and that's no good. I'd keep it for a middle name.My like for the name stems mainly from the Oscar Wilde play. He was fabulous.

I absolutely love it! Ernest is definitely the best spelling IMO.I'm in England and it would go down ok here, especially with the nn Ernie.I love the combo Ernest George. SO strong and handsome!
