Etta
I've really started to like the name Etta, and have added it to my PNL. It makes me picture an elegant dark haired woman wearing several long strings of ruby-like red gems.Etta Beatrice
Etta Catherine (love)
Etta Caroline
Etta Frances
Etta Guinevere
Etta Magdalene

I had a great-aunt named Etta Beatrice! She had dark hair, too, and was born in 1913.All of your choices are lovely. I especially like Etta Caroline.

Etta feels imcomplete to me. Same with Ena. I want to ask what is it short for.

I love the picture you have with it, but I'm having trouble making that work with Etta for myself! It seems like such an abrupt name, like someone cut off mid-sentence. I get the jazz-age vibe that you have from names like Ella, Stella and Edie, but Etta is not working for me.Regardless, Etta Frances is a very sharp combo - my favourite of those up there, and I'm not even a Frances-lover!

I only think of Etta James. She's a great singer, but I think her name is somewhat frumpy.

Ditto. And in addition to being frumpy, the name sound incomplete.

It's a name I really don't care for, sorry. I dislike most names ending in -etta, so Etta itself does nothing for me.Etta Frances has the best flow.

Very nice. I really like it. I don't like it enough to use myself, lest it be a pet name or nickname for Loretta, but I'd love for someone to use it.Etta Catherine is spectacular, but of course, I'm biased.Etta Frances is very nice. Very evocative of the 1920s to me.Suggestions:Etta Marion
Etta Felicia
Etta Rachel
Etta Leonore
Etta Sylvie
Etta Primrose
Etta Noor

I like it as a nickname but not as a full name. I like the combos Etta Catherine and Etta Magdalene.

I love Etta too. It reminds me a lot of Ella in that both names are short, sweet, and old-fashioned. It is definitely primed to make a comeback. Etta Catherine, Etta Frances, and Etta Guinevere (my favorite; so whimsical!) are your best combos, but they're all good.

It's pronounced the same as ETA (Euskadi Ta Askatasuna), the Basque separatist terrorist group, so I don't like it. Nasty associations.
