Jehanne
What do you think of Jehanne? How would you pronounce it? I'm kind of mystified as to that part, but I think the name looks lovely. All I know is that it's old French and related to Jeanne.Any opinions *or* information are appreciated! Thanks.

I don't think the pron. would be much different from Jeanne the French way ("Jann", sort of, I'm terrible with rendering pronounciations). It seems to me you might as well use Jeanne, unless it's to avoid some pronounciation issues in English.

It reminds me of Joan of Arc and also of Jehan Sadat.
It's lovely but I pronounce it zhe-AHN, which is probably wrong. Therefore, I'd stick to Jeanne.

I liked the masculine version, Jehan, which I prn jeh-HAHN. I'd prn Jehanne the same way. Both are pretty exotic names.

This is Joan of Arc's original given name, and it's pronounced ZHEN, or zhe-EN.Her signature: http://historymedren.about.com/od/picturegalleries/ig/Joan-of-Arc-Picture-Gallery/joan_signature.htm

I like the correct pronunciation a lot more than what I initially thought. The real sound is very pretty!

I would pronounce it sort of like yay-HAHHN. It looks nice- what about Jehanna?

I enjoy it. It seems more edgy that Jeanne. Very artsy. I would say it something like "zhay-HANN", but I have no clue how it would really be said.
