Homer?
I've been interested in the name Homer a lot lately. I love it's ties to literature, art and classicism, and also it's quiet humbleness. It gives me very much the same feeling as Amelia does - elegant in a very quiet way.I know though that many people associate this with Homer Simpson, and the name has become synonymous with laziness, stupidity and sloppiness. Is there any hope for the rescue of Homer? What are your opinions on this name? Is it a choice that only celebrities could endow with coolness (like Richard Gere), or could common society make this name work too?
