I think it's pretty, but my favourite 'Michaela alternative' (I'm not really a fan of Michaela as it is) is Michala, prn mi-KAH-la. Don't know if the spelling would put you off though.

I love Mihaela. I had a friend from Romania with the name and I still like the name even after our fallout. Unfortunately, it was always difficult for her classmates and teachers to pronounce.

I love the look of Michaela too, and also don't like Kayla! Snap.
Mihaela does sound much nicer - but I don't think I'd use it, because my family would struggle to pronounce it. Your family might be better at it than mine though. :)

Intriguing. I think it's usable, as long as you're prepared for everyone to think it's a type-o the first time.
