Chiara or Kiara? (more)
I want the kee-AH-ra pronunciation. Should I spell it Chiara or Kiara? Chiara is the authentic Italian spelling but I'm worried people will mispronounce it. Kiara is simpler but I also worry it will be pronounced to rhyme with Sierra. So which one is best? Which one looks best to you and which spelling would make things easier?

Definitely ChiaraI don't think it will be mispronounced that much, and I really cannot stand the Kiara spelling. Chiara is beautiful :)

I would be concerned that people will say "chee-AH-ra" for Chiara! I think Kiara just makes it easier and assume people won't pronounce it like Sierra. I would think Ciera or something would be Sierra.

KiaraEven though I prefer the Chiara spelling and normally hate substituting Ks for Cs, I agree that most people are going to misprn Chiara.

ChiaraChiara. It's lovely, and Kiara looks way too trendy.

Chiara - it looks a lot softer and prettier than Kiara. Although I prefer Ciara, which is likely to be pronounced Sierra after the singer Ciara.

Chiara - it looks prettier to me and it makes sense to me. Kiara looks a bit ugly and sounsd to me like another spelling of Ciara(Keera).

Well, I prefer Chiara but I'm biased. Kiara looks odd to me. But maybe where you are Kiara would be easier to pronounce?
