Not my cup of tea, to say the least. Samsara is the cycle of rebirth in many Asian religious traditions, so essentially reincarnation. However, this is rebirth in an extremely negative sense because they consider life to equate suffering and thus Samsara is being reintroduced to suffering. Yet again, someone goes off of sound without a care for cultural implications.

I know it mainly as the name of a perfume. It would be weird on a person, Samara's better.

I've never seen / heard Samsara being used. But it does have a lovely exotic quality to it. I would be pleased to see a little Samsara show up for school one day. :-) The only down side is it makes me think of Samsung electronic products.A similar name I love is Samara. I've wondered why Samara isn't more popular, given the popularity of Samantha.

Samara is really pretty. But two words- The Ring. Totally ruined it, what a shame.

I don't like it, for two reasons. 1) Sam is masculine, Sarah isn't
2) too religious
