Otis
I would like to hear some opinions on Otis. I can see it gaining popularity in hipster circles. I actually am starting to warm to it myself.Otis Benjamin is nice.

I really enjoy Otis.

Otis was my gf's name. I've never liked it much. Could it be revived? Yes. It definitely has classic appeal and history on its side.

I love Otis. It is just so kind and shy-sounding. Unfortunately it also sounds a little slow-witted. It makes me think of a big, calm, plodding horse with furry feet. I would totally use it irl, but I think I like Otto just a touch more. It it totally a hipster name, I can definitely see that.

I'm not a huge fan, though I can see the appeal because it does sound very wise. Moslty it makes me think of Milo and Otis. It also sounds like how my son used to say "Want this." Yeah, it sounded like Otis for a little while. :)

I'm just showing my age, probably, but I find Otis laughable. I should have put it in the "names that make you laugh" thread. It reminds me of two things:The town drunk on "The Andy Griffith Show".And a story I once read called "Obstinate Uncle Otis", about a man named Otis, who had the power of when he denied a thing's existence, the thing would indeed cease to exist, then he received a blow on the head, got amnesia, kept insisting that he was not Otis, because Otis didn't exist, and then forced himself out of existence. But that's probably just my age, I'm not a hipster.

Otis Benjamin is very nice indeed. And I'm an Otis Redding fan, in fact he's the only one I know, so it only brings positive things to my mind. :) I wonder why I had never thought of it before.

I think Otis is comical. I watched "The Andy Griffith Show" while growing up, and Otis was the name of the bumbling drunk who often spent the night in Andy's jail cell. It's also the name of the pug from "Milo & Otis." Frankly, I think it gives too much ammunition to the kids on the playground.
