Michael...
First, I know lots of people find Michael boring but it is a favourite of mine for special reasons.
Anyway... what middle name do you think goes best... and any more suggestions would be gratefully received:Michael James
Michael Joseph
Michael William (not sure about this because i like William as a first name...)And while we're here...
William Peter
William Michael
William James
William IanThank you xxx

Oh, yes to Michael. It's lovely and timeless. Sweet and friendly.Michael James -- Safe. I think you can do better.
Michael Joseph -- Ditto.
Michael William -- Tritto.William Peter -- Wonderful! I don't see Peter used nearly enough.
William Michael -- Safe.
William James -- You already know what I'm going to say to this.
William Ian -- The ending of William and the whole of Ian are too similar. All of the combinations, except William Ian, are fine. I just think you can stretch your naming horizons a little if you're going to use a common (yet still wonderful) fn like Michael. How about:Michael Terence
Michael Desmond
Michael Oliver
Michael Avery
Michael Piers (has an "s" sound at the end, not a "z" sound, like Rhys)
Michael Rhys
Michael Gerard
Michael Vincent
Michael Eamonn ("AY-mun")
Michael Ronan
Michael Shane

I only know two Michael's in person. And you might as well choose a name you like, and not disregard it because others find it a bit dull.Michael Joseph has the best sound out of that lot, although I'd be tempted to go with a less plain sounding / Biblical names to spice it up a bit if you have concerns over the dullness of Michael. William Peter is really handsome.

I love Michael! I always have sort of liked it, but have really been loving it lately. Of course then I shove it out of my head because both DH and I have uncles named Michael, so it's sadly off limits.I think Michael James is a very solid name. Although since Michael is so common I think a less common middle name would fit better with it. I love all of those William combos, too. But I love William so much it's hard not to love any William combo. :)
