Josie?
I really like the name Josie, however I don't like Josephine. We already have two Joseph's in the family, and I don't want to be repetitive. Can Josie be a nick name for another name? Is it strong enough to stand on it's own, or is it too cutesy?
Thanks for your help!

There's always Joselyn / Joscelin / Josslyn / etc. Others:
Josiane
Josipa
Josette
Josune
Joasia
Jocasta
Jocosa
I like Josie, but I don't know if it could stand on its own.
(And it always makes me sing the Hey Monday song "Josey" or the Blink-182 song "Josie.")

Josie is a great nickname I think. However itès alright if you like it on itès own.I was going to recommend Josette or Josianne but it was on this list.

I don't think Josie is strong enough to stand on its own. What about Josepha?

More namesJosie could also be short for Joanna, Joanne, Joan, Jolene, or any other name that begins with Jo-.

I love Josie as well, but I don't mind Josephine either. I think Josie could definitely stand on it's own. But what about Josette? Or Jocelyn, maybe?
