Emmerich
Thoughts on the boys name Emmerich? It has been growing on me. I like how it sounds with Andreas. How would Andreas Peter and Emmerich James sound for brothers? Have you ever known an Emmerich? I havent and I'm afraid it might sound too foreign in the US.

Emmerich... I think I like it. And I don't think it would have too many problems in the US. The pronunciation seems fairly straightforward, although you might be better off with Emeric. My father works with an Emeric. His son, who was born this year, shares his first name. So he probably hasn't had enough problems with the name to keep him from passing it on. Andreas and Emmerich as brothers are darling. I'd say go for it.

I adore Emmerich! I slightly prefer the Emeric spelling, but I'll take that handsome devil any way he comes. :-)Andreas Peter and Emmerich James are absolute heart-breakers. Keep them away from my nieces. Name sin the U.S. are getting so crazy and kre8tyv that I don't think it's possible for any name to sound strange any more. You might as well throw some really good ones in there to balance all the bad, cree8tuv ones. The only Emeric that I've come across is the British film maker Emeric Pressburger. He was originally Hungarian, I think. Anyway, I fell in love the name when I heard it on him. Love it to pieces.

I love Emmerich. My heritage is German so I've sort of gravitated towards German names. I like Emmerich alot better than Everett. Andreas and Emmerich are a very handsome sibset.

I really like Emmerich, although I prefer it spelled Emeric which looks less "foreign" to me. I think it goes well with Andreas alyhough I'm not normally a fan of that name. I've never known an Emmerich or Emeric.
