Marilee?
I've never heard of this name being used, but what do you think of Marilee?

I know someone named Maralee-Dawn and it works on her. Marilee sounds a bit too close to merrily though... It would make me think of rowboats and I'd get that silly children's song in my head whenever I heard it.

How is it said? like "Marr-e-lee"? Or lik "Mary-lee"? I like the idea of Merrily more if it is like Mary-Lee - Merrily has a prettier look than Marilee.

That's funny, I named a character that in a story I wrote when I was maybe 11. I thought I'd made it up, but you're not the first to post about it. I've never heard of it being used, either. I'm not sure if I think it'd be okay-cute or too cutesy.

Merrily we roll along, roll along... it has a nice cadence and is very cheerful. I knew a Marylee, she was a friend of my mom's-- I think of this as one of those 1950s names like Marilyn, Mary Lou and Mary Ann-- but it's nicer.

I think it sounds too much like "merrily".
