Wilkie (ETA)
I'm on the fence about this for a boy at the moment and wanted to hear some opinions. I find it cute but I'm not sure if its too close to Wookie lol. Thoughts?
ETA - Thanks guys! I never thought to use it as a nn for William. My mind went kinda blank when I did say to myself "What could it be a nn for?" I really like that idea! Wilkie isn't your run of the mill Liam / Will / Bill

I think that if you used it as a nn for William, it could eventually morph imto Wilks, which is very adult appropriate!

I like Wilkie but its gotta be a nn. Not very good for an old man or a professional.

I think Wilkie's adorable! It's certainly my favorite nickname for William.

Wee Willie Winkie is what comes to my mind, not Wookies. But that doesn't stop me from loving Wilkie. It's so whimsical, as a nn for William.

I wouldn't mind it as a nickname for William, but I don't really like it as a name on its own.

Wilkie on a grown man wouldn't sound right. I think of Tinky-Winky from the Teletubbies or a pinky finger, I don't know why.
