Martin
What do you think of Martín pronounced "Mawr-TEEN" not "MAHR-tən"?I don't care for the English pronunciation but I do like the Spanish pronunciation.Martín is a common name in my husband's native Argentina. It was the surname of a famous South American Patriot Jose de San Martin. There is also a famous poem, the name of which is: Martín Fierro. (Would be a great name if not for the poem, eh?)What would you pair Martín / Martin with? (Let's face it, I had to use copy/paste to get that little mark over the i so I am never going to spell it with that. I can't even remember what it is called.)

With or without the 'í', Little Martín is going to be called "MAHR-tən". He probably won't even bother correcting people, after a while. Sorry. I like Martin, though it's not a favourite. It reminds me of my 3rd favourite English teacher, it was his first name. Nothin' wrong with Martin =) Middle names for Martín:
Martín Luke
Martín Isaac
Martín Théo
Martín Olivier =)
