What are your favourite Persian/Iranian names?
Mine are Navid and Roshan (male) and Parvin, Sanaz, Nahid (feminine).

Darius - I know it is the latinized form (which based its latinization on the hellenized form of the original Persian name), but I like that one better than the original form. :)

Sakina, but I have only seen Japanese with this name in my life. I would have to go down to Southfield to see the Persian side of the name.

I met two Iranian girls on a tour group - can't remember the name of both, but one was Leila. I love that name - she pronounced it lay-la, not ly-la.

From memory I have always liked Taraneh alot for a girl and for boys I like Delshad and Shaheen.
