A woman gave birth in an airplane bathroom recently. According to BBC news, the baby was named Elfayed.

Wasn't the late Princess of Wales's companion named Dodi el-Fayed? Maybe that's the name she was aiming for.

I thought he was called al Fayed
(but then again transliteration is never simple so maybe both are right..?)

Interesting...Elfayed almost sounds Welsh. I've never heard it before, it's nice but almost reminds me of elephant! :(
