Mazie
What are your thoughts on the name Mazie? Do you prefer the spelling Masie? Do you like the full name Margaret, or would you just use Mazie/Masie? Any other ideas for full names that Mazie can come from? I feel like if you can pull Mazie from Margaret, you ought to be able to pull it from any 'M' name, but what do you think?
Thanks for your opinions! BTW, it was my g-grandma's name, and pretty much the only female family name I like.

I adore the name Maisie (prefer this spelling, also pronounced MAY-zee) but preferably as a nn for Margaret or Mairead (which rhymes with "parade"). But if it was a family name for you, I think you have 'license' to use it as a formal name, and I've seen it used that way before, also. Also, my grandmother's name was Elsie and I prefer a longer name as either a fn or mn to honor her, if I ever have a daughter, but it would be "ok", imo, to use it as a formal name, esp. since she's being named after her gm. Does that make sense? :b BTW, I know a little girl named after her grandmothers and her last name starts with a Z, so she's Mabel Audrey Z. And they call her Maizie, this spelling. Cute. :)

I prefer Maisie as the spelling. I would use fn as Margaret with nn Maisie. Very cute!

i like Mazie a lot , but i'm not sure it would age well, so it might make more sense to use the full name.
