I find French Yolande to be very elegant. Iolanthe ("yo-LAN-thee" or "yo-LAHN-thee") too. But I struggle with Yolanda. It almosts sounds silly, "Yo! Londa!" I don't know why one syllable makes so much of a difference for me.

I had an Aunt Yolande. She always went by the nn Yale, tho.

I really like it - it's got history behind it and has always intrigued me. I'd hate to see the nn "Yo" though!

I like it...I have for years now. Something about it just sounds pretty to me. I like the pronunciation JO-lan-da, but I slightly prefer the English pronunciation of it, YO-lahn-da.

I grew up with at least 3 of them so it's kind of like the more exotic Stacey or Jennifer to me....
