I think it's horrible, sorry. It sounds ugly and has the word GOD in it. Very bad.

Alas, I'm afraid the "God" in it jumps out at me a little too much. Aside from that, I'd like it as well as I do Darwin (a lot).- chazda

I kinda like the meaning, but I think the name is too much of a surname for me. It's not horrible, though.

Do you know Godwin's Law?It states: As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1.The law has been interpreted to mean that the first person in an argument to make an unwarranted comparison to Nazis or Hitler automatically loses. It has existed for fifteen years now, and most internet fen recognize the term. That's all I think of when I hear the name Godwin. Ick.Array

It's a bit geeky sounding, but I'd love it for a character in a book. I also love Oswin, Goodwin, anything along those lines._____________________________________________________________________Elinor"If you want to make a sound like James Blunt singing, simply take one fork, and drag it down a greasy plate."

I love it as a surname, but I don't think I'd ever use it as a first name- it has so much teasing potential.

I love it simply because of a character in one of my favorite books. However, I would never use the name.

I don't care for names with God in themGodfred, Godwin, etc. Too much teasing potential in this day and age.
