I like it :)I prefer the spelling Katia. Even though I usually find c's more appealing because they're often softer and more elegant looking, in this case I like the 'k'. How do you pronounce it? I pronounce it KAT-ya...the same as Katya, which I also like.

It sounds very young to me--cute when she's under 10, but not so cute when she's 40--so I prefer it as a nickname. It's a very sweet, sassy nickname for Katherine, and it would really stand out among the Katies and Kats. Between Katia and Catia, I prefer Katia.

I LOVE Catia! I pronounce it CAH-tee-uh. It's my best friend's mom's name, and I think it's lovely. Much better than Kate or Katie, and much more unique. I don't like it as much with the K, but I'm prejudiced against Ks in general. Cs look much prettier.

I really like it too :)I prefer Katia, but Catia is also very prettyETA: I'm assuming you're pronouncing it Kat-ee-uh, not Kate-ee-uh?

I like both but prefer Katia. Actually, I prefer Katja but just because it's the common spelling where I live, Katia is just as pretty ;)
