As the proud daughter and mother of a pair of wonderful Beatrices, I love it!Wasn't Beatrice Lillie an actress? I find Lily anaemic and Ruby cheap. Beatrices deserve better.

I do like the name, though I wouldn't use it myself. Bea is a very cute nn. Beatrice Lily and Beatrice Ruby are both lovely, but I'd go with Ruby as it's my have girl name of all time.

I love Beatrice! I also love the zippier Beatrix, but (today) Beatrice is the one I prefer. I don't really care for Bea, but it's not bad. My favorite Beatrice/Beatrix nn is Beah.I like Beatrice Lily more than Beatrice Ruby, but both combos get a thumbs up from me.

Beatrice is one of my favorite names! The meaning - voyager - is so lovely and poetic, and Bea is an adorable nn. I like Beatrice Lily, but I'm not a fan of Ruby. A variant, Viatrix, has also been on my mind lately, even though I don't think I'd use it. I also like:
Beatrice Celeste (heavenly voyager!)
Beatrice Claire
Beatrice Diana
Beatrice Elisabeth
Beatrice Eseld
Beatrice Faye
Beatrice Jane
Beatrice Juliet
Beatrice Lisette
Beatrice Selene
Beatrice Vianne

I love Beatrice, and I would probably use the nickname Bea if it were my child. I have a thing lately for buttoned-up names, and I think Beatrice definitely qualifies. I used to prefer Beatrix, but now it's the opposite.
