Julian
What's your opinion on the name Julian? I used to think it sounded weak and weedy but now i've done a complete reversal and think it sounds strong, through sensitive. What's your opinion? and do you prefer Julian or Julien?

I like Julian, it's quite endearing. Strong enough sounding and also a little on the regal side. Julian is my preferred spelling.

I love Julian! It's within my top three. I tend to like boys names with a softer sound. But I think it sounds perfectly masculine. However, I don't like Julien- it's too close to Julienne for me.

I've had a similar experience with it. I used to think it sounded too weak and soft, but then I started seeing some strength in it, but it still has a gentleness to it. And then I also started associating it with a winery near me that has some significance to me, called St. Julian's. So that gives it a big plus and I love the purpley wine-y association.I prefer Julian. Julien reminds me too much of julienne, as in the way to cut vegetables.
