Whisper
I met a little girl named Whisper today. I haven't quite decided how I feel about it yet, what do you think about it?

I think it sounds kinda lame... I'm guessing artsy fartsy parents or hippies, but that may not be the case. (not all artsy and hippie names are lame, but this seems odd as a name)

It's haunting me!

AwfulIt sounds like a faded little ghost of a person who's barely there at all. Not good.

It's a lot to live up to for a naturally noisy child. And aren't Whispers a kind of chocolate with a crunchy centre? Either way or neither way, I find it silly.

I think I buy too many kindle books because I thought "whisper synch?" hahahaha!!!Don't think it's a great name though.... Whisper? nahhh - definitely not for the first. But anything has potential to be great in the MN slot.

It seems like a juvenile choice to me. If I liked it, it would stay in the guilty pleasure category.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. On the one hand, it has a pretty sound and a soft image, which I kind of like. On the other, it reminds me of old Puritan names like Silence and Be Fruitful.

That's cool that you actually met a girl named Whisper. It's an interesting name. It's not something I would use because it seems odd as a name, but it has a soft sound that I like.

Whisper is one of my favorite GPs! I've never met a real one. I think it will always remain a guilty pleasure for me because, like you, I'm not sure how I feel about it. As much as I like it, Whisper feels too...oppressed? Weak? Too biddable? Too something that's negative, anyway. Maybe it's just that, as a mother, I would always hope that my daughters would speak up and be heard, rather than whisper.

Meh...I would never use the name myself, since it gives me a rather weak, pitiful image. I guess it's not SO bad on someone else, though. I've heard worse.

I'm indecisive as well. On the one hand, the word whisper is really pretty. On the other hand, it can hand a negative meaning as in is this girl always supposed to be quiet because of her sex? Okay, I'm probably reading a little too much into it from a feminist perspective, but that's how my mind works these days. lol.
