So boring, but I guess someone has to use it in order to make it that way.

I really, really dislike it. To me, it is extremely bland and so overused that it makes me want to rip my hair out. I think I'm just sick of Em- names in general. They seem to be everywhere... Emily, Emma, Emmy, Emmeline, Emilia, Emmalyn, Emerson, Emmett, Ember, Emery, Embry, Emmanuelle, Emerald.

I'm lucky - it was never megapopular where I live, so I can like it with a clear conscience! I think it's one of the nicest names available, and also the mn of a gteat-aunt of mine, so given enough daughters I'd have used it happily.

Classic, beautiful and timeless. A lovely name.

She doens't knock my socks off, but I do like her in the middle spot because she is so unexpected there.

I've always had a soft spot for her and I actually haven't known all that many, as common as the name seems. The most prominent Emily in my life is a long-time friend discovered, about six years into our friendship, to also be my fourth cousin, once removed. Given my respect for her, the name brings positive attributes to mind but I also happen to enjoy the look and sound and warmth of it.

I do like it, very pretty, soft and classic. It's my five year old daughter's good friend's name. However, as nice as it is, I find it a bit bland too. It's just too overdone in my area, there are tons of them-two under eight on my street alone (and these are different Emilys than my daughter's friend!).
