Fiona
What do we think of Fiona? Is it too associated with Princess Fiona from Shrek now?Any combos with Fiona - first or middle? I'm thinking of Fiona Miriam or Evelyn Fiona.I also really like Ffion, which is similar, but a bit too unusual for me to use.

Fiona is one of my dh's top names (Fiona Jane, to be exact). I think it's nice as well. My fave combos are Fiona Margaret and Fiona Mary. I also like your combo, Fiona Miriam.

One of my absolute favorite names!
I don't think it's been ruined by Shrek, but I might be biased lol.As for combos, I like:Fiona Anne
Fiona Jane
Fiona Brynn

I feel like I *should* love the name Fiona: it's Celtic, has a medieval aspect to it, is three syllables, easy to spell, etc. However - and I don't necessarily think it's because of Shrek - I find Fiona to be *too* princess-y at times. It's too much, imo.

Fiona was the first name that I fell in love with as a child, when I was a budding name nerd. I still like it but it's not one of my all-time top names any more. A couple of real-life ones have put me off it a bit. It's a bit dated to me as I know a few in their late 20s and 30s if not older. I certainly don't think of Princess Fiona, but that's not a terrible association. The only downside is that Fionas tend to get nicknamed Fi which I hate! I'm rubbish at coming up with combos for other people. Fiona Miriam works though as does Evelyn Fiona. Fiona Evelyn would too, I think.

Hey, hey, no need to hate on Fi. ;)

Oh yeah I don't like Fi either. I think Fiona is short enough not to need a nickname so hopefully Fi would be avoidable!

Fiona Therese is a nice suggestion. My grandma's name is Teresa, so it would be honouring too which I like.

I love Fiona! It was in my mothers list as a potential name for me :) But now I am a Vanessa, okay, too ;)Evelyn Fiona is a great combo! By the way, my granny is called Evelyn, so I have to love it :D

Fiona Maeve is really pretty. I wish I could use Ffion but it's just too unusual for me... and too Welsh, I think people would pronounce it wrong.

I'm more of a Leona fan, but Fiona is lovely too. I don't think it's too associated with the Shrek character. I actually forgot about Princess Fiona. Fiona Miriam is beautiful. I also like Evelyn Fiona, which has an excellent flow, but Evelyn is getting more and more popular these days where I live. It isn't nearly as popular in the UK as it is in the U.S., though.Combos:Fiona Lorraine
Fiona Christine
Fiona Camille
Fiona Caroline

Elspeth Fiona is beautiful! I love the fact that both names are Scottish and they complement each other so well.I also like Fiona Maeve, Fiona Constance and Fiona Tess, but Elspeth Fiona is my favourite!

Aw, Fiona is cute, so charming and full of energy. I don't think Shrek has hurt it a bit. I really like Evelyn Fiona.

I like Fiona, it's a light, happy sort of name. I knew two Fionas before Shrek so it doesn't really have that association for me - it might for some but I don't think it matters, it's not like it was made up for the film.
Both of your combos are pretty and work well.
Ffion is lovely, but I think people in the UK would assume you were Welsh if you used it. Fiona Bridget
Fiona Caroline
Fiona Carys
Fiona Catrin
Fiona Cecily
Fiona Clare
Fiona Elspeth
Fiona Helen
Fiona Hilary
Fiona Lucy
Fiona Marianne
Fiona Morven

Fiona Elspeth is nice. Someone else suggested Elspeth Fiona, which I think is even better! Fiona Penelope is also lovely.
