Well, it is similar to other occupational surnames like Walker, Spencer and Fletcher that are rather trendy right now. I think it could definitely work as some people in this age might not even know what a weaver was. And since it honors family that's a great connection!Can I ask what era the family tree Weaver lived? It would be interesting to know if he was named using his Mother's surname or not.

He was named for his mothers surname it was in the very early 1900s if I remember correctly. I think its starting to grow on me and I love the family connection.
