Eve
Eve has really grown on me as have other simple names like Mae, June and Fay. I'm getting a little sick of names ending in an -a sound. There are just so many of them in the top 100. Even though many think of them as dated or boring, I now vastly prefer Eve over Eva, Adrienne over Adriana and Emmeline over Emma. What do you think of Eve? I think Evie is cute as a nickname.

I prefer Eva (but I pronounce it the Spanish way. I might like EEV better than EEva.)
I also think Evie is cute. I also like Evey.
I usually like -a names though. I tend to see them as less frilly (-enne is much more frilly to me than -ana, for instance.)

I love Eve. It's smart and sleek and a tad mysterious. Evie is adorable.

One of my favourites! I do love Eva as well, but DH prefers Eve. I love the simple and classy way of the name Eve. It's one of our Top 3 names for a future DD actually. I love Evie as a nn. I also adore the name Mae.

I like Eve. Also, I love Mae and June. And yup, Evie is a cute nickname. I'd gladly meet some little Eves.

I love Eve, it's my top girl's name and I will almost certainly use it if I have a daughter. Evie is lovely too :)

Eve packs a lot of power into one small syllable. It's very refreshing. And you can have a lot of fun with a mn because it's so short and slightly exotic. Evie is an adorable nn.

I really like Eve and Evie. They're fairly fashionless but not generic.I can't stand Evelyn (old man name) and Evangeline (proselytize me), and I don't care for Eva (how "eva" do you say it, anyway? It seems always to be after some Eva Glamborzigoriova). I usually prefer the non-"-a" endings, I think. Sophie, Isabel, Emily, Claire.
The ones I do prefer with -a are Alisa (anything but Alice), Lydia, Anna, Audra, Julia. Not a fan of Emmeline.
I think I like Adriana more than Adrienne because Adrienne sounds like a boy name when you say it out loud IMO.

Now, I love Evelyn, but I think that is so pretty it ought not be shortened; as for Eve, I dislike it in the fn spot because I find it too abrupt and I can't make combos with it. I do love it as a mn though.:0)

This is my best friend's name so I may be a little biased. But I really like it, as a name in it's own right and as a nickname for Evelyn or Evangeline. I dislike Evie as a full name but think it's alright as a nickname. At the moment I've got it as a mn in one of my top combos - Natasha Eve - honouring my friend. :)
