Dylan
What do you think of the name Dylan? Also do you think it is too close to the name Draven? That is my SS's name. He does not live with us but we see him at least once a week.

Dylan isn't bad. It's common and maybe a little boring, but I still like it. I don't think it's too close to Draven-- the "Dyl" and "Drav" are different enough to set the names apart well. The long part of each name is the first vowel sound-- so if you call out "Dylan!" it's the y ("ih") that lingers, while if you call out "Draven" it's the "ay" that stands out.

I feel like I should dislike it, because all three Dylan's that I know (aged between 5-6) are little terrors, but for some reason I quite like it. For some unknown reason I prefer the spelling Dillon, though I am pretty alone in this preference.
Dylan and Draven (how is this pronounced? Drah-ven?) start and end with the same letters but this does not mean they are neccaserily "too close", I think it's personal opinion/preference as to how close two names are. But they are hardly Jayden and Brayden, is what I'm saying :)

The pronunciation of Draven is Dray-ven. I just don't want SS too feel put out so I'm just trying too make certain that they don't sound too similar. Thank you for your response. :)
