Alfie
I really like the name Alfie, but I'm not too fond of any of it's long forms. Someone gave me the idea to pick a fn starting with Al and a mn starting with Fee, Fie, or Fi. So, what are some nice names starting with Al and Fie/Fee/Fi?BQ: What do you think of Alfie?

I like a lot of Al- names such as Alexander, Alfred, Alec and Alistair.I don't like Alfie as a full name, it looks childish.

I don't like Alfie at all. It may be cute for a little kid, but it's not a really mature name.Of all the full name possibilities, without needing the middle name to create 'Alfie', I like Alvar and with a little imagination Ralf.Ideas:
Aloysius Filemon (see Philemon)
Alain Filip
Alister Filibert
Alex Fidelis
Alexis Philander
Albert Phineas
Alexander Phoenix

It sounds ultra-childish. I don't even know why this name is so popular in the UK. It wouldn't suit any boy over the age of 10 - I can't picture an adult with this as a name or even a nickname. It's along the lines of Mikey and Benjy - something that suits a little kid and not an adult.

I think it could work, even though I prefer Alfred "Alfie".But with your idea, I would go with Alexander Felix. Or Alexander Finn.

Filip or Filipe work as middle names. How about...Albert Filip
Aldous Filipe (this one kind of made me laugh out loud, so maybe not a good combo)Allan
Alexander
Alastair / Alasdair
Alden
Alec
AltonFinnegan
FinleyI know Finnegan and Finley don't have that FEE sound, but personally I don't think it'd be too much of a stretch to pull the nn Alfie from them.

My cousins name is Alfie, he's 10. His name is just Alfie, it's not a nickname. I can't think of any boys names which start with the sound 'fee'. The only names I can think of with that sound are Ffion and Fiona. The 'fie' sound (I say it to rhyme with dry) doesn't really work because Alfie is al-FEE not al-FIE.
