Seriously, there are so many wonderful names for girls out there. Please leave the traditionally masculine ones alone. :-)

I don't like it on a boy because it sounds pretentious. I don't like it on a girl because it sounds masculine and pretentious. Summer is pretty though.

I've always thought Somerled sounded feminine. I can definitely see it working on a girl particularly if someone is going for a more unisex, surname feel.
